The Virus (An Ultra Lite Novel by Howdy)

This Monday started like most any day but would end anything but
typical. The Weather Channel forecasted mild atmospheric conditions
(even for November) but unfolding events would soon challenge and
startle mankind as never before.

In an elaborate government building somewhere in Rome, a multitude
of dedicated world renowned computer and technology experts studied
The Virus that had already secretly infected 98% of the planet's
computers in its first stage. Up to this point, none outside this edifice
had ascertained the existence of the silent menace.

In Jerusalem, heavy crowds were milling around The Dome of the Rock,
the third holiest site to Muslims worldwide. On the other side of the
Wall, a larger than expected crowd of Jewish worshipers prayed even
as portions of the wall continued to collapse.

In New York City, the Stock Market opened slightly higher while
down in Washington - Pentagon officials poured their second cup
of Maxwell House Decaf. Further south, the last edition of The
Atlanta Journal was being prepared while further west, parents
turned toward their offices after depositing their children at school.

Work halted temporarily in the government building as the new
dynamic and charismatic leader's entourage entered. He spoke
over the JBL sound system. "Good associates, The Virus is
scheduled to be released as planned in two stages. Stage one as
you know affects all the world's primary computers while the
second will decrease the excess occupiers that have so strained
our fragile environment. Both will begin to take effect within the
hour thanks to your hard work." He will later become Time Magazine's
"Man of the Year".

Unexpected to those in Rome, The Wall in Jerusalem collapses and
thousands of Muslims lose their lives along with hundreds of Jewish
worshipers. The Dome of the Rock along with all nearby buildings of the
Islamic Faith disappear into rubble. Within moments a very great riot
commences with each side blaming the other. Syria (with Iraq's lost
WMD) & Iran ready their hidden nuclear arsenal.

With a new surprising show of unity in Beijing, Hanoi, Jakarta, Tokyo,
Pyongyang, New Delhi along with other Far East capitals, 200 million
multi-asian troops are placed on alert. Moscow prepares its revived
army for an eventual march south....very far south.

Stage one hits Wall Street, the Pentagon, Main Street and homes
across America as well as the entire Western World. Business stops
as all funds - the complete wealth of the Industrialized World - is
transferred by computer virus via the web to Rome. All modern military
weapons are now under the new leader's absolute command as well as
the world's media (Rule of Rome once again).

As the second stage of The Virus is released, millions will become sick
and die with a highly infectious disease stronger that the SARS & Ebola
viruses combined. Fortunately for some, certain large groups of people
have been quietly immunized earlier. Millions of Christians disappear at
5 PM EST (Midnight in Jerusalem) virtually unnoticed because of the
pandemonium. The controlled media is not allowed to print this story.

The President is declared lost because Air Force One is down over the
Atlantic according to managed reports but did his aircraft ever leave
Andrews Air Force Base? Is this a cover up from Rome to perhaps hide
his evanescence also? Other prominent members of the President's
Party are missing but from the other side? Exiguous.

This disappearance will go virtually unnoticed because of the manipulated
media and its potentate who controls also the world's assets & armaments -
the ultimate coup d' tat - all without a shot being fired. He will woo the planet,
restore peace to the Middle East for a short time with false promises of pro-
tection as well as rebuild a new Jewish Temple on the destroyed site. The
Islamic world will cheer because their faith has expected this great new leader.
With an appearance before nearly all mankind live on all media (TV, radio, &
even computers on-line), men, women, and children are mesmerized. Stay tuned...

The Dream (Another Ultra Lite Novel by Howdy)


"Last night I lay a sleeping, I had a dream so fair..." began the words
to an old song. I at last was hoping for a long night's respite. The children
were finally tucked into their beds with care, the dog & cat were at last
reticent & cozy in the basement below, and my pulchritudinous bride
of many years was sleeping quietly beside me. I pulled the knitted
blankets over my wearied shoulders to began a long late Autumn
night's rest.

This dream of mine seemed to began in November - the evening
before Thanksgiving - with all the family gathered together into the
family room/den with a brilliant/glowing fire crackling in the fireplace.
Our revelry, however, was soon interrupted by the evening news
with a flash from the White House: "The President's plane has been
lost over the Atlantic." Some moments later the "Weather Channel"
apprised their viewers about two rare November hurricanes in the
Atlantic. One named "Tipper" which was heading for the Florida
Coast with winds exceeding 160 mph while the other storm with
winds slightly higher named "Hillary" would be crashing into Manhattan.
The dual storms would certainly put a large damper on many
Thanksgiving celebrations. BOTH were forecast to strike land
around midnight! All in our family were full of gratitude for our
snug little home and its blissful/rapturous protection.

After our evening meal (which unknown to us was to be our final
one at this location), my oldest son turned the television channel
to FOX News again and our mood sombered immediately! "The
Philippines, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and much of China
had ceased communications with the rest of the world earlier that day!"

With dirty dishes left on the table, we gathered around the TV to
hear FOX report another incredible story about events at the stroke
of midnight in distant places. As the new day leaped an hour from
time zone to time zone, all communications in that area of the world
were lost! Europe was now in a panic. People were raiding stores,
in LA riot style, pulling all sorts of items from the shelves with NO
store employees or police anywhere in sight. Ironically, no one
had any interest in expensive items. The rioters had one goal in mind:
basic necessities such as food, water, winter clothing & medical supplies.
Jewelry, sports equipment, and electronics were completely ignored.

Ahead of the Midnight Clock's leap by the hour across the Atlantic,
the scenario was much the same. First riots & great panic, and then
a mysterious & eerie hush caused by communication failures combined
with mass power & telephone outages. Coupled with this were
mysterious nuclear explosions in a number of cities worldwide including
Prague, London, Seattle, St. Louis and Orlando. It seems that a
computer virus of unknown origin was the problem. Russian, North Korean
& Chinese nuclear missiles fired without human direction or command
demolishing major cities. Another leading story covered by the frightened
news reporter was the "Big One" that had finally hit California destroying
much of Los Angeles & San Francisco on top of recent devastating forest
fires! All the World now wondered, "What enormous calamity of cataclysmic
proportions had befallen our planet?"

Then it happened! First there was the clear unmistakably vivacious sound
of a trumpet's blast. Then the locale changed abruptly for each of our family
members because we had been 'translated' from our home to the tops of
a vast Cumulonimbus platform. The trip up was exhilarating. Multitudes
from every part of the planet and beyond my ability to count ringed the
fluffy stadium. Although it was still night, starlight brightened our way.
No longer needed by any in attendance were eye glasses, canes,
wheelchairs, medication of any kind or artificial limbs!

The first thing most did was to check the status of all family members.
Fortunately all ours were there & as we traversed from person to
person great shouts of joy were heard. Deceased family members were
back and ALIVE with a new youthful vitality. These shouts of joy were
not only because we were together but also because we knew what
had happened. We were the ones taken up to the clouds to meet our
LEADER!

After only a short amount of time had passed (as if time were important
anymore), a most magnificent & majestic person approached us. This
distinguished man directed us to the BIG PARTY! This grandest of all
banquets was by invitation only & was prepared for every Christian that
had ever lived. Nameplates displayed our final & permanent rank in the
new kingdom. As I approached the table, folks were being escorted by
these magnificent 'people' (I mean angels) to their reserved seating.
The better Christians were guided to the end closest to where our
Leader would sit and "the just barely made its" to the other end of the
miles long banquet table. Some were crying because of various friends
or family who were not present.

Awards were to be presented at this banquet (officially called The
Wedding Feast of the Lamb). I must tell you that a little old lady - who
was no longer old or little - from our church sat in the top 10%. She
had been a prayer warrior. My very own Dad received the rank of
Colonel as awards were presented by our Leader. Everyone actually
returned their "Crowns" to our new King later for permanent display
in a beautiful heavenly trophy case but He (Jesus Christ, Savior,
Creator & General of Heaven's Invincible Army) allowed each to
keep his newly acquired permanent title. Also I must mention that
all in attendance now appeared to be about the same age - maybe
20 - and that none any longer had any illness, deformity, or a sin
nature! From now on and forevermore, each act, word or deed
was always to be from the purest & highest motives!

It was also mentioned at that banquet that a terrible time (The
Tribulation) would soon begin on earth and that VERY FEW
had taken notice of our departure because of the great calamities
occurring back on earth because of the Computer Virus (but
that's another story). His Return was truly like a "THIEF IN
THE NIGHT!" A lie was being spread even at this very time
by an emerging new charismatic world leader from Rome (code
name: Babylon) that a very few folks might indeed be missing
but only a very few! Any others "missing" were said by this
ultimate world tyrant to have unfortunately met with one of the
"evils" that befell at Midnight. The evil new world leader used
the virus to jump start his new global economy by allowing
criminals to perish behind bars without food & water. Many
of the elderly & sick were euthanized. The world population
decreased by 20% to jump start his new economy without
the '"drag" that other societies experienced in the past from
these "unfortunates".

We were also informed that the virus problem was a judgement
on the entire world similar to 'The Tower of Babel' in the great
book of Genesis. This new world leader had programmed his
computer to correct all of the world's other computer problems
with a promise of world peace & prosperity. This 'Man of Sin'
(as the Bible calls him) would next conquer the entire world
and it's global economy for a time with his genius for technology,
politics and military strategy. He would also amaze many with
an announcement that his new kingdom would last a 1000 years,
be the Revived Roman Empire, and be centered at the 'City of
Seven Hills' or Rome and be the real 'Third Reich'.

Felicitously for those left on Earth, this time of great evil, death
& suffering would last only 7 years until the Rightful King returned
to rule the entire planet with a 'Rod of Iron' from Jerusalem for a
REAL 1000 years. This Kingdom WOULD last a full millennium -
the 7th Millennium since the creation of the first man and be an age
filled with true peace, prosperity, rest, and happiness! After that He
would create a new heaven and a new earth for us to live 'happily
ever after' in glorious astonishment/wonder/amazement!

Well unfortunately, my glorious dream ended but be sure of this:
The first sector of my dream about the variegated global tragedies
may occur in this manner or it may not. However the last component
pertaining the Great Disappearance & the horrendous seven year
global affliction/wretchedness on Earth for those who were unprepared,
will unequivocally & most assuredly take place sometime and SOON -
maybe sooner that we all think! Are you signed up for this Greatest
of all Adventures? Are you on the invitation list for the Greatest Party
of all times? It's open to any & all who read, believe, trust & adhere
to the Magnificent One presented in the Creator's Guide Book. This
Guide Book (Bible) contains the real truth and tells of the wonderful
future ahead for those who give their lives completely to Him. He
once was the Babe of Bethlehem, then our suffering & dying Savior,
Risen Lord three days later & finally our Returning King!

Epilogue: You might like to know that in my dream all 'Believers' who
were Translated or Raptured, took with them their clothes, false teeth
& glasses (that were on their persons). All young children were taken
who had at least one believing parent. In cases with an unbelieving
expectant mom with a believing husband, the unborn child & the believing
Dad were taken. Young children without a believing parent were not taken
but did have opportunity later because Jesus loves the little children.
Because of all this and the catastrophic world events, the Rapture was
indeed a 'secret' event. None were missed except for a very few.

A word of warning: People who read this or are warned elsewhere before
the Translation/Disappearance & who do not respond and place their
complete faith & trust in this Great Host, King, Savior and Lord will most
likely not have an opportunity to obtain a ticket for safe passage into
His eternal kingdom after the Great Translation (See II Thes. 2:9-11).
