In Chapel Hill, a UNC* Prof. was hit by a car.
While waiting for an ambulance, the policeman
tucked a blanket under the unhurt prof's chin
and asked, "Are you comfortable?"

The prof. said, "I make a nice living."

TRIVIA:

The Mexican fishing spider will attach itself to a small
leaf and float across a pond as if on a raft. From this
vantage point, it hunts its prey of large tadpoles and
small fish.

The spaceship in the sci-fi classic The Day the Earth Stood
Still (1951) was 25 feet high and was built on a studio
backlot. It had to show no visible openings or hatches, yet
had to open at certain times. The film's art directors
incorporated an invisible split in its sides that was sealed
over with soft plastic and coated with silver paint. Every
time the dome of the ship was opened or closed, film crew
members had to reseal the split. It was an innovative design
for the era.

After living in a remote wilderness
all his life, an old UNC grad decided
it was time to visit the big city.
In one of the stores he picks up a
mirror and looks in it. Not knowing
what it was, he remarked, "How about
that! Here's a picture of my daddy."
He bought the 'picture', but on the
way home he remembered his wife,
Lizzy who was also a UNC grad,
didn't like his father.

So he hung it in the barn, and every
morning before leaving for the fields,
he would go there and look at it.
Lizzy began to get suspicious of these
many trips to the barn. One day after
her husband left, she searched the
barn and found the mirror. As she
looked into the glass, she fumed,
"So that's the old gal he's runnin' after."

These days, a cake is a sweet baked food usually containing flour,
sugar, eggs, and flavoring. In the 13th century, however, cake was a
flat, round loaf of bread.

It wasn't until the 15th century that cake was associated with its
modern definition. The word is from the Old Norse kaka, which is
related to cookie (from the Dutch koekje), but not, as is sometimes
believed, to the word cook.

Cake can also mean a shaped or molded mass of food. Or a compressed
mass of something else such as a cake of soap. This word can also be
used as a verb describing the action of forming something into a cake.

Palestinian Mother Upset Daughter Failed as Suicide Bomber

Palestinian Authority (PA) controlled television is still broadcasting human interest pieces highlighting parents' support for their children's decisions to become suicide bombers. In spite of PA pledges not to incite, an interview broadcast last week featured the mother of Wafa Al-Bas, the 21-year-old Arab woman from Gaza who was arrested at the Erez Crossing in June 2005 wearing a 20-pound (9 kg) bomb under her clothes.

The PA TV interview with Al-Bas' parents, which aired on February 20th, features her mother saying the event was hard for her - not because her daughter was on a suicide mission, but because she failed to carry it out. Al-Bas intended to bomb Be'er Sheva's Soroka Hospital outpatient clinic, where she had been receiving regular treatments for serious burns on 45 percent of her body resulting from a gas stove explosion in her home.

The failed bomber later told Israeli television that her greatest wish was to kill 30 to 50 Israelis, including children. The hospital attack would likely have killed or maimed the very Jewish doctor who had saved her life.

Dear Howdy:

This news breaks my heart! As Christians we are taught that if we even HATE our brother, we have committed murder already! We are taught to love because Love conquers all! To think that a mother or father of these young people, actually WANT them to murder 30 to 50 people in their short lifetime is unthinkable!!!! I would like to say to this mother, your teaching of HATERED has already caused your daughter to comment murder. YOUR goal has been accomplished. Your people are committing murder over and over every minute, EVERY SECOND of the day. TERROR is your god!

A couple of days ago, there were two Muslim women that entered our office with “peace offerings” for each of us. They had made a dessert called “Noah’s Pudding” and gave us a pamphlet of the explanation that they are willing to make peace with all people and believe that all religions have some connection with each other. The pamphlet also had the recipe, which was actually very good. It was a fine gesture! They spoke to each of us and told us they do not have hearts of hate and wanted to be accepted among us. We each took their offering, but in our hearts had anticipations of their effort. (Is this a people we can trust? Are they REALLY sincere? Was this a trick? How do you discern who is real and who has nothing but trickery in their hearts?)

I have to believe my Lord, that LOVE DOES CONQUERS ALL! I had to put this into HIS Hands! And, of course, we were accepting of these lovely women. PEACE needs to start somewhere!

It is time for those Muslims that do not believe as the woman in this story, to come forth and show that LOVE is in their hearts. It is time for those Muslims that want PEACE to help put a stop to the TERROR! TERROR should not be tolerated, from anyone!

In the US, people that set out to murder others are STOPPED! Parents that teach hate and abuse their children in this way are STOPPED! This kind of behavior has been let go for so long because it is considered a “religion” (?)! Their numbers keep increasing for there are many in this world that hate and this “religion” gives them a good excuse to murder!

Deep and sincere prayer NEEDED and REQUIRED!

Verse of the Day

* * * Four Important Things To KNOW: #1) For ALL (Americans, Muslims, Jews, Catholics, Hindus, Buddhist, Asians, Presbyterians, Europeans, Baptist, Brazilians, Mormons, Methodist, French, etc.) have sinned & fall short of the glory of God. #2) For the wages of above (see #1) are DEATH (Hell, eternal separation from God, & damnation) but the Gift (free & at no charge to you) of God (Creator, Jehovah, & Trinity) is Eternal Life (Heaven) through (in union with) Jesus Christ (God, Lord, 2nd Person of The Trinity, Messiah, Prince of Peace & Savior of the World). #3) For God so greatly loved & dearly prized the world (Americans, Muslims, Jews, Catholics, Hindus, Buddhist, Asians, Presbyterians, Europeans, Baptist, Brazilians, Mormons, Methodist, French, etc.) that He even gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, that whosoever (anyone, anywhere, anytime - while still living) believes (trust in, relies on, clings to, depends completely on) Him shall have eternal (everlasting) life (heaven). #4) Jesus said: "I am THE WAY, THE TRUTH, & THE LIFE. No one (male/female - American, Muslim, Jew, Catholic, Hindu, Buddhist, Asian, Presbyterian, European, Baptist, Brazilian, Mormons, Methodist, French, etc. ) comes (arrives) to the Father (with GOD in Heaven) EXCEPT BY (through) ME (no other name). *** This wonderful loving GOD gives you the choice - - - (Rev. 3:20) {Please note that church membership, baptism, doing good things, etc. are not requirements for becoming a Christian - however they are great afterwards!!!} *** Jesus said, "Wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction (Hell, damnation, eternal punishment), and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life (Heaven, eternal happiness, forever with God), and only a few find it.

P U R P O S E
But these are written so that you may
believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the
Son of God, and that by believing in
Him you will have life. Jn 20:31

Seek the Lord while He may be found;
call on Him while He is near. Let the
wicked forsake his way and the evil
man his thoughts. Let him turn to the
Lord, and He will have mercy on him,
and to our God, for He will freely
pardon. "For My thoughts are not
your thoughts, neither are your ways
My ways," declares the Lord. "As the
heavens are higher than the earth, so
are My ways higher than your ways
and My thoughts than your thoughts.
As the rain and the snow come down
from heaven, and do not return to it
without watering the earth and making
it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed
for the sower and bread for the eater,
so is My word that goes out from My
mouth: It will not return to Me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire and
achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
You will go out in joy and be led forth
in peace; the mountains and hills will
burst into song before you, and all the
trees of the field will clap their hands.
Instead of the thornbush will grow the
pine tree, and instead of briers the myrtle
will grow. This will be for the Lord's
renown, for an everlasting sign, which
will not be destroyed." Is 55

O Lord, you have searched me and you
know me. You know when I sit and when
I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.
You discern my going out and my lying
down; you are familiar with all my ways.
Before a word is on my tongue you know
it completely, O Lord. You hem me in -
behind and before; you have laid your
hand upon me. Such knowledge is too
wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.

Where can I go from your Spirit? Where
can I flee from your presence? If I go up
to the heavens, you are there; if I make
my bed in the depths, you are there.

If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.

If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide
me and the light become night around
me," even the darkness will not be dark
to you; the night will shine like the day,
for darkness is as light to you. For you
created my inmost being; you knit me
together in my mother's womb. I praise
you because I am fearfully and wonderfully
made; your works are wonderful, I know
that full well. My frame was not hidden
from you when I was made in the secret
place. When I was woven together in the
depths of the earth, your eyes saw my
unformed body. All the days ordained
for me were written in your book before
one of them came to be.

How precious to me are your thoughts,
O God! How vast is the sum of them!
Were I to count them, they would
outnumber the grains of sand. When
I awake, I am still with you. Search me,
O God, and know my heart; test me
and know my anxious thoughts. See
if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.
Ps 139

But indeed for this purpose I have raised you up,
that I may show My power in you, and that My
Name may be declared in all the earth. Ex 9:16

When I survey the wondrous cross
On which the Prince of Glory died,
My richest gain I count but loss,
And pour contempt on all my pride.

Were the whole realm of nature mine,
That were a present far too small:
Love so amazing, so divine,
Demands my soul, my life, my all.
