Christmas Moment #1: "Getting Life to Give It"
ReplyDeleteIf you've lived long enough, odds are you've been smooched against
your will at Christmastime - thanks to mistletoe. Mistletoe actually
became a big deal centuries ago when ancient people noticed that even
when everything around it was dead or dying, it still blossomed and thrived.
It could be this Christmas you wish you could be more like
mistletoe. War, famine, feuding families. You want to help, but it
seems hopeless. Actually, we all have this "make a difference"
instinct, but we're paralyzed by darkness inside us which seems to
have no cure - then Christmas comes along.
That's why Jesus showed up as a baby in Bethlehem - to shine His
light into the dark of your soul. The Bible says He did this by dying
in your place on a lonely cross in order to "bring you to God" (1
Peter 3:18). If you're ready for this life-changing relationship with
Jesus Christ, call 888-NEED-HIM. Because when you receive His life,
then you have so much life to give.
