A group of students were asked to list what they thought were the
present "Seven Wonders of the World."

Though there were some disagreements, the following received
the most
votes:

1.
Egypt's Great Pyramids

2. Taj Mahal

3. Grand Canyon

4. Panama Canal

5. Empire State Building

6. St. Peter's Basilica

7. China's Great Wall

While gathering the votes, the teacher noted that one student had not finished her paper yet. So she asked the girl if she was having
trouble with her list. The girl replied, "Yes, a little. I couldn't quite make up my mind because there were so many."

The teacher said, "Well, tell us what you have, and maybe we can
help."

The girl hesitated, then read, "I think the
'Seven Wonders of the World' are:

1.
To See

2. To Hear

3. To Touch

4. To Taste

5. To Feel

6. To Laugh

7. To Love

The room was so quiet you could have heard a pin drop.
The things we overlook as simple and ordinary and that we take for granted are truly wondrous! A gentle reminder -- that the most precious things in life cannot be built by hand or bought by man.

Dear Fellow American,

Karl Rove gave what may be the key to defeating Hillary Clinton in 2008 in an exclusive interview with Bill Sammon for his new bestseller, Strategery.

Karl Rove told Sammon, "There is a brittleness about her. That could prove a weakness in November 2008."

Rove went on to explain that "anybody who thinks she's not going to be the candidate [for President] is kidding themselves."

And President Bush said, "I think Hillary Clinton will be a formidable candidate... in the Democratic primary."

But, there is hope for conservatives. Sammon reports that Rove does not believe Clinton can win a nationwide election. Roves stated that, "her personal philosophy and her brittleness" will be the reasons why she will ultimately fail in her bid for the Presidency.

Strategery is already a bestseller. Fortunately for you, you can get a free copy when you sign up for HUMAN EVENTS) today.

While looking to future elections, Strategery chronicles the blatant bias of the mainstream media in the last Presidential election up through President Bush's nomination of Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court. From the outrageous coverage of the Abu Ghraib scandal to the infamous forged documents by Dan Rather and Mary Mapes, the mainstream media has used every opportunity -- real and imagined -- to sabotage and damage the Bush Presidency.

Sammon also illustrates how alternative media outlets (like HUMAN EVENTS) have changed the shape of the media landscape and helped bring down some of the liberal giants that have dominated the news for decades.

Bill Sammon takes you inside the Bush White House:

Bush's astonishing willingness to sacrifice his prestige and even his presidency for a cause he believed in: the removal of Saddam Hussein -- a dangerous dictator who posed a grave threat to America

Rove's predictions: Why he thinks that Hillary will easily win the Democratic nomination in 2008, but that she will find winning the general election far more difficult

Evidence that, contrary to media reports, the situation of Al-Qaeda in Iraq was growing positively desperate by the summer of 2005

Abu Ghraib: How the Leftist media establishment embarked on a hysterical feeding frenzy that was out of all proportion to the misdeeds of a handful of prison guards

Why, in a stunning departure from precedent, the talking heads on the networks hemmed and hawed and dithered and stalled and refused to call the presidential election of 2004 until dawn broke on the day after the election

Clinton National Security Adviser Sandy Berger: How the liberal press cravenly downplayed and even blamed the Republicans for his purloining of classified documents that might have proved embarrassing in the hands of the 9-11 Commission

How the Swift Boat veterans dared to tell the truth about John Kerry's service in Vietnam -- and thereby almost single-handedly saved the nation from a Kerry presidency

Teresa Heinz Kerry: how the liberal media tried to spin her strange behavior and even more bizarre utterances, to the benefit of John Kerry's presidential campaign

"Fake but accurate": How Dan Rather and Mary Mapes of CBS brazenly brushed aside and ignored evidence that documents damaging to Bush were inauthentic in their zeal to destroy him and elect John Kerry President

The full story of the strange exit polls that predicted a Kerry landslide

How, by sharpening the debate on Iraq, the White House opened a major rift among Democrats

The Koran-in-the-toilet story: How yet another media-fueled scandal turned out to be just an unsubstantiated rumor spread for political reasons

How Bush's deep faith in God led him through the darkest moments of his presidency

Hurricane Katrina: how the Democratic governor of Louisiana and Democratic mayor of New Orleans mishandled the situation with astonishing fecklessness -- and then blamed (who else?) George W. Bush

Katrina relief: How Pres. Bush actually released federal relief funds before the hurricane hit

First the mainstream media berated President Bush for responding too slowly to Hurricane Katrina, then a short time later chided him for reacting too fast to Hurricane Rita

The next step in the terror war? How Condoleezza Rice, has taken a hard line against Syria and sought ways to ratchet up pressure on Damascus

Bush's legacy according to one close observer: "If Iraq succeeds, he's going to go down as a world historical figure. I mean, it's going to change the face of the planet, and he'll deserve all the credit in the world."

History will remember the Bush presidency as one of the most trying periods in American history. Bill Sammon's Stategery gives you a unique and absorbing glimpse into that historic presidency.

HUMAN EVENTS has always been on the forefront of the fight against liberal bias in the media. That is why we are glad to give you a free copy of Strategery when you sign up for HUMAN EVENTS today.

Each time you open HUMAN EVENTS, you will be thankful for a news source that brings you the straight facts and keeps you one-up and a step ahead. From recent issues:

FACT: The National Education Association -- the nation's largest teachers union -- spent over $90 million from 2004 to 2005 on (mostly liberal) political activities

FACT: Democrats are caught up in the Abramoff lobbying scandal, too

FACT: The Iraq war is consuming far less of the US GDP than other wars in the past

FACT: A government agency sponsored a drug conference that included a lecture titled "You Don't Have To Be Clean and Sober... Or Even Want To Be"

FACT: The top 50% of income earners pay 96.5% of the federal income taxes, while the lowest 44% pay no federal income taxes.

FACT: The federal government -- with your tax dollars -- subsidizes programs for kids to play golf at posh resorts

FACT: Federal employees spent $16.4 billion in 2003 on government charge cards. Some of those charges included: country club fees, personal clothing, movie gift certificates and beer

FACT: A national survey found that Democratic professors outnumber Republican professors 3 to 1 in economics, 28 to 1 in sociology, and 30 to 1 in anthropology

FACT: At least 1,074,000 illegal aliens were arrested along the Mexican border in 2004, more than in 2003 and 2002

FACT: The federal government is subsidizing yoga research

And we have the best conservative writers in the business. Regular columnists such as Phyllis Schlafly, Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, Ollie North, Terry Jeffrey, Linda Chavez, David Limbaugh, Bob Novak, Larry Elder, Michelle Malkin, and as the icing on the cake, the peerless, priceless Ann Coulter.

And speaking of Ann Coulter, here is what she had to say about HUMAN EVENTS:

"I devour it from cover to cover every week. Why? Because it's the one newspaper I can count on to bring me the absolute, unvarnished, hard-hitting truth."

Now you know why I think you should start a no-risk subscription to HUMAN EVENTS.

There's so much at stake today. America is at war and liberals just don't get it. Never has it been more important for you to get the truth -- and not the P.C. pabulum that filters through the establishment media.

And now you can try HUMAN EVENTS with this special introductory offer -- a full 30-week trial subscription at the reduced rate of just $39.95... a little more than a dollar an issue. Plus, receive as a gift...

Strategery

Brought to by the reporter who has interviewed President Bush and his top advisers more than anyone else, Bill Sammon gives a you an inside look at the White House and how President Bush has repeatedly confoundeded his enemies in the media.

Now is your chance to get this insightful book -- in hardcover -- absolutely FREE!

Frankly, not everyone has the courage to read HUMAN EVENTS. It is far easier to just swallow what the establishment media dish out and nod in agreement with the bovine herd. Sad but true.

Verse of the Day

* * * Four Important Things To KNOW: #1) For ALL (Americans, Muslims, Jews, Catholics, Hindus, Buddhist, Asians, Presbyterians, Europeans, Baptist, Brazilians, Mormons, Methodist, French, etc.) have sinned & fall short of the glory of God. #2) For the wages of above (see #1) are DEATH (Hell, eternal separation from God, & damnation) but the Gift (free & at no charge to you) of God (Creator, Jehovah, & Trinity) is Eternal Life (Heaven) through (in union with) Jesus Christ (God, Lord, 2nd Person of The Trinity, Messiah, Prince of Peace & Savior of the World). #3) For God so greatly loved & dearly prized the world (Americans, Muslims, Jews, Catholics, Hindus, Buddhist, Asians, Presbyterians, Europeans, Baptist, Brazilians, Mormons, Methodist, French, etc.) that He even gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, that whosoever (anyone, anywhere, anytime - while still living) believes (trust in, relies on, clings to, depends completely on) Him shall have eternal (everlasting) life (heaven). #4) Jesus said: "I am THE WAY, THE TRUTH, & THE LIFE. No one (male/female - American, Muslim, Jew, Catholic, Hindu, Buddhist, Asian, Presbyterian, European, Baptist, Brazilian, Mormons, Methodist, French, etc. ) comes (arrives) to the Father (with GOD in Heaven) EXCEPT BY (through) ME (no other name). *** This wonderful loving GOD gives you the choice - - - (Rev. 3:20) {Please note that church membership, baptism, doing good things, etc. are not requirements for becoming a Christian - however they are great afterwards!!!} *** Jesus said, "Wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction (Hell, damnation, eternal punishment), and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life (Heaven, eternal happiness, forever with God), and only a few find it.

P U R P O S E
But these are written so that you may
believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the
Son of God, and that by believing in
Him you will have life. Jn 20:31

Seek the Lord while He may be found;
call on Him while He is near. Let the
wicked forsake his way and the evil
man his thoughts. Let him turn to the
Lord, and He will have mercy on him,
and to our God, for He will freely
pardon. "For My thoughts are not
your thoughts, neither are your ways
My ways," declares the Lord. "As the
heavens are higher than the earth, so
are My ways higher than your ways
and My thoughts than your thoughts.
As the rain and the snow come down
from heaven, and do not return to it
without watering the earth and making
it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed
for the sower and bread for the eater,
so is My word that goes out from My
mouth: It will not return to Me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire and
achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
You will go out in joy and be led forth
in peace; the mountains and hills will
burst into song before you, and all the
trees of the field will clap their hands.
Instead of the thornbush will grow the
pine tree, and instead of briers the myrtle
will grow. This will be for the Lord's
renown, for an everlasting sign, which
will not be destroyed." Is 55

O Lord, you have searched me and you
know me. You know when I sit and when
I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.
You discern my going out and my lying
down; you are familiar with all my ways.
Before a word is on my tongue you know
it completely, O Lord. You hem me in -
behind and before; you have laid your
hand upon me. Such knowledge is too
wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.

Where can I go from your Spirit? Where
can I flee from your presence? If I go up
to the heavens, you are there; if I make
my bed in the depths, you are there.

If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.

If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide
me and the light become night around
me," even the darkness will not be dark
to you; the night will shine like the day,
for darkness is as light to you. For you
created my inmost being; you knit me
together in my mother's womb. I praise
you because I am fearfully and wonderfully
made; your works are wonderful, I know
that full well. My frame was not hidden
from you when I was made in the secret
place. When I was woven together in the
depths of the earth, your eyes saw my
unformed body. All the days ordained
for me were written in your book before
one of them came to be.

How precious to me are your thoughts,
O God! How vast is the sum of them!
Were I to count them, they would
outnumber the grains of sand. When
I awake, I am still with you. Search me,
O God, and know my heart; test me
and know my anxious thoughts. See
if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.
Ps 139

But indeed for this purpose I have raised you up,
that I may show My power in you, and that My
Name may be declared in all the earth. Ex 9:16

When I survey the wondrous cross
On which the Prince of Glory died,
My richest gain I count but loss,
And pour contempt on all my pride.

Were the whole realm of nature mine,
That were a present far too small:
Love so amazing, so divine,
Demands my soul, my life, my all.
